BookDragon

I love books! What more can I say? Netflix.com provides me with all the DVD’s I can handle. As for books, my thanks go out to Amazon.com, Borders (a chai latte, please!) and all the used book sales I can get to. For anything I can’t find in any of these places, I go to my local library. (Interlibrary Loans are SHINY!)

I'm a librarian! But enough about me... tell me about yourself!

Ohhh, my head hurts...

Ravaged by a migraine today, can't think straight. I'm recovering from mid-terms, I don't think I did as well as I could have on my Spanish test. The paper on Kafka didn't go so well either. This headache is probably from stress.

For the second half of the semester we have to read "Tristam Shandy", probably the hoariest old tome I've read since Spencer's Fairy Queen. This book is supposed to be funny, but humor in books didn't start for me until the late 1880's with Jerome K. Jerome's "Three men in a Boat." Currently I'm laughing my socks off with Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next books.

Oh, and make matter worse, Shandy is the professor's favorite book. We are all doomed. No matter what we say about this book, it will be "Wrong", because SHE is the expert. So far the best thing about Shandy is making fun of it when I get home at night.
