BookDragon

I love books! What more can I say? Netflix.com provides me with all the DVD’s I can handle. As for books, my thanks go out to Amazon.com, Borders (a chai latte, please!) and all the used book sales I can get to. For anything I can’t find in any of these places, I go to my local library. (Interlibrary Loans are SHINY!)

Break over

Break time is over and its time to get back to work. I gave up on the Tony Robbins book; the little stories were really bugging me. So I picked up “Power Healing” by Dr. Zhi Gang Sha and started reading that again since I haven’t been feeling too well lately. I just got the Omega Institute catalog and saw that not only is Dr. Sha giving a class this summer but also Don Miguel Ruiz. I gave my copy of “The Four Agreements” away as a gift, and now I feel the need to re-read it.

Spring Break

Not much of a Spring break. I was at school everyday getting my work done. I started reading “Double Fold” by Nicholson Baker for fun, but it isn’t much fun to read. I think about this book every time I try to find some old article on microfilm.

I also have “Scrolling Forward” by David Levy pending, but no time to read because I started to read a free copy of “Awake the Giant within” by Tony Robbins. My buddy Tina is a big fan of his, but I cannot see the attraction. So far he hasn’t told me anything I don’t already know. I am also a bit irked by all the little stories he tells to illustrate his points. I find particularly funny all of the times he mentions his “perfect” wife and relationship, especially since Tina told me he is now divorced.

I want to get back to the library books, but I have a great deal of reading to do for my Rigoberta Menchu paper.
