BookDragon

I love books! What more can I say? Netflix.com provides me with all the DVD’s I can handle. As for books, my thanks go out to Amazon.com, Borders (a chai latte, please!) and all the used book sales I can get to. For anything I can’t find in any of these places, I go to my local library. (Interlibrary Loans are SHINY!)

End of 24...Yeah!!!

After all this time hoping that Peter Weller’s character of Christopher Henderson on the TV series “24” would die quickly (like so many others), it was quite sad to see him go last night. Poor, Chris, he went to his death with the realization that Jack word doesn’t mean shit. I could have told him that.

At the beginning of the show there is a warning that viewer may want to beware of graphic violence. I also think there should be a warning for intelligent ‘thinking’ people to look out for giant plot holes, inconsistencies, and just plain stupidity. An extra warning should have been tagged on last night for ‘the world’s most tedious season finale.’

But enough of that rubbish… I could go on forever. Let’s talk about Doctor Who. I’ve been watching this iconic hero a great deal lately, bouncing back and forth between his different incarnations. Patrick Troughton is rapidly becoming my favorite. I also just saw some of the newest episodes and was appalled at the high-five the Doctor gave Rose after seeing a werewolf. Yes, a werewolf is cool, but a whole bunch of people just died horribly… let’s curb our enthusiasm. Troughton would have thought it was horrible.

I’ve also been reading but more on that later.
